Fiesta de Tumacácori 2016 , Saturday December 3rd, thru Sunday December 4th
La Fiesta de Tumacácori, attracts thousands of visitors from every corner of the southwestern United States and the Mexican state of Sonora.
To confirm its popularity ithe Fiets has non reached its 46th edition.
It’s an an event that pays tribute to Father Kino, to the Missionaries who have come and gone in later times and to the various local ethnic groups who have recognized in the missionary of the Val di Non, their protector and teacher, from whom they have got advantage from the results of his civil, religious and moral teaching.
The setting of the event is located in the old San Cayetano church in Tumacácori that takes its name from the Mission. The Mission after several events which have shaped the history of the United States and Mexico, is now placed under the supervision of the American Federal Government that has included in its assets of the National Historical Parks, managed by the National Park Service (NPS).
